Discover our economic assessment of Runnymede

Did you know, during an assessment of the borough’s economy it was revealed that the area is ranked as the most economically competitive borough in the UK outside of London (UK Competitiveness Index 2021).

The review took place last year, where Runnymede Borough Council’s economic development team also discovered that the area has one of the highest concentraitons of people working in tech, attracts a significant amount of Foreign Direct Investment and is home to one in every five of Surrey`s largest companies.

The research revealed strengths and areas for improvement which will now shape the borough’s new Economic Development Strategy for 2022 to 2026 which is set to be published later in the year.
