Shortlisted businesses will be invited to a lunchtime awards ceremony at Royal Holloway University of London on Friday 11 September where we’ll celebrate and recognise local organisations, that are contributing to our towns and economy.
Andrew Pritchard, Chief Executive of Runnymede Borough Council expressed his enthusiasm for the awards:
"Businesses play a huge role in making Runnymede a great place to live and work. Thank you to all the sponsors for their ongoing support and for enabling the awards to return in 2026. Once again, we want to shine a light on the achievements of local Runnymede businesses and recognise their role in supporting and developing our local economy”.
Megan Jones from Megans School of Performing Arts, winner of Business of the Year in 2025 explained why it is important for businesses to enter the awards:
“Winning in 2025 provided a massive boost to our business. I encourage everyone to get involved, regardless of the size of your business. We never imagined that our small (but very much growing!) business would actually win, but we did! It was an incredible celebration of all business in Runnymede and an eye-opener to the incredible business minds Runnymede is home to. I am so grateful to have taken part; the day itself was my favourite of the whole year, bar giving birth!”
Christos Tsinopoulos, Professor of Operations and Project Management and Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law, said:
“As part of the Runnymede community, we are delighted to be supporting the Runnymede Business Awards. The university is proud of the significant contribution it makes to the local economy as an employer as well as through our wider enterprise, skills and entrepreneurship support for students, colleagues, and the local business community.”
