Boost for businesses in Chertsey Town Centre

Businesses on Guildford Street and Windsor Street in Chertsey town centre have received a total of just under £100,000 to improve their shop fronts. The investment helps smarten up the high street, improves the heritage of the historic town centre and supports SMEs in the heart of the town.

The grants were part of an investment by the council to spruce up the borough`s town centres and improve the vibrancy and vitality of the high streets. Chertsey, Egham and Addlestone town centres all benefited from a programme of improvements financed by the borough`s Shared Prosperity Fund. This included street decluttering, new benches, new bins, and the refurbishment of flower beds. New wayfinding is also being installed in Chertsey Town Centre to help visitors navigate around the town.
